I am Prithvi Nayak currently pursuing B.Tech in Information Technology at MIT Manipal. I studied at Christ School Manipal until class 10 and completed my 11th and 12th at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College, Udupi. I have been born and brought up in Manipal. I like to read books and listen to music during leisure hours. Also I like to learn about new things emerging in the industries these days (I am currently doing a course on R programming and Front-End Web Development in Coursera). My hobbies include collecting currency of different countries and cooking. I am also doing a minor specialization in Business Management. I was an intern at Udupi Web Solutions where I worked on Web Development, Front-End Development and Back-End Development.
I got to know about the foundation through the GSB Scholarship League-Wadala, Mumbai. I applied for the scholarship there and was further recommended by them to the Ajit Prabhu Foundation for my good performance in Class 12 where I scored 96.83%.
I have been receiving financial support from the Ajit Prabhu Foundation for the last three years. I have received the entire fee amount to be paid to the college. This financial support has encouraged me to work harder to achieve my goals without worrying about the financial condition of my parents.
I am forever grateful to the Ajit Prabhu Foundation for the financial support given to me towards my studies. This financial aid has helped me in many ways, because of the support provided I was able to reduce my parent’s financial problems and pay my fees. It helped me to study well and work hard towards my education. It has also helped me grow as an individual. Meet the Donor program also helped me gain a lot of life lessons from Ajit Prabhu Sir. The dedication, always ready to help the needy and the kind nature of him has inspired me to become a responsible human. Not only the financial support but the foundation has also taught us how to inspire others with our good deeds.
As the world is becoming more digital, social media platforms can be one of the mediums to reach out to the students. Regular updates about the scholarship provided by the foundation on social media can garner a lot of students. Students themselves can become the voice of the foundation by reaching out to the needy students around them.
